Purposes of AMLuthiers:
Private 501(c)(3) foundation for piano technicians and luthiers of other musical instruments in Latin America, the Caribbean and around the world. U.S. donations are tax deductible.
Donations of Musical Instruments:
Musical culture in its essence in the countries of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, etc. they need financing. Students in the courses require assistance with enrollment and starting their own business. It is important to consider a donation of either instruments, spare parts, tools, or money.

History:
Twenty years ago The Happy Angels Youth Brass Band was initiated by Edrine Wasswa with 12 orphan street boys. In 2019 the 211 boys and girls of all ages and religions were accepted by the State Orphanage and Edrine retired after a long illness. The group's manager, Allan Kawalya formed the The Pearl of Africa Youth Brass Band. Since then, Allan has been studying in Childe to become a piano tuner/technician. When Allan returns we hope to have received sufficient donations for buildings, instruments, tools, etcl to establish his piano business so that it might support youth bands, and the teaching of musical instrument repair.
While in Chile, Allan continues to raise money for monthly expenses of basic life support for band members. Every month we have expenses in Uganda. Please donate.

We are collaborating with "Arts without Borders Corporation" with projects in Africa. The projects include training for instrument repair technicians, instruments and scholarships for musicians, and much more.
We understand the need to develop an infrastructure to support the new luthiers including where to get the tools and parts; management, transportation, and parts; and association with professionals who are dedicated to education for life. Instrument owners and musicians need to better understand their instruments and recognize the value of the services that make them possible.
